Hamas accused the Israeli government of lying

Ali al-Amoudi, head of the Hamas information department, issued a statement accusing the Israeli government of lying, Harutz Sheva reports.

According to Al -Amoudi, the Israeli government continues to “sell illusions to the families of prisoners of war of the occupying army” and does not provide any evidence regarding their situation.

A Hamas spokesman emphasized that “the occupying government is lying to its public about the fate of the Zionist prisoners.”

“We believe in resistance, and the heroes of the shadow squad (which is supposed to guard the missing Israelis) do not guard the bodies,” he said.

Al-Amoudi noted that Hamas promised to secure the release of its prisoners.

Hamas is known to be holding the bodies of two Israeli soldiers, Hadar Goldin and Shaul Oron. Hamas is demanding that Israel release Shalit prisoners who were arrested a second time in exchange for information about their fate.

Hamas is also holding two Israelis, Hisham al-Sayed and Aver Mengistu, who made their way to Gaza on their own. Both men suffer from mental illness.
