Guterres: Beijing Olympics are important events

UN Secretary General António Guterres supported the holding of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
Reuters reports.
“At a time when we see many conflicts around the world, we see the absolute urgency of holding the Games, in which all countries are represented, even those at war, to bring them all here and show that peace is possible, that unity and solidarity,” Guterres said.
According to him, the Olympics should send a call for solidarity and unity to the world.
