One of the world's greatest guitarists, British virtuoso Jeff Beck, has died at the age of 79.

His family has confirmed his death.

” ;After an unexpected infection with bacterial meningitis, he passed away peacefully on January 10th. His family asks for privacy as they grieve this huge loss,” — according to the statement.

According to Forbes, he died of meningitis despite to claims that he received a coronavirus vaccine.

According to Rolling Stone, Beck was one of the greatest guitarists in history, influencing the development of heavy metal and jazz rock.

When the news about Beck's death spread through the media, with many music legends paying tribute to him on social media. Among them were Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart and Suzanne Hoffs.
