Grand premiere in Israel! The magnificent duo will present to Israeli audiences a selection of their favorite compositions from famous operas, world hits, Neapolitan songs and excerpts from operettas. Diva, world star and style icon Anna Netrebko – today the most famous opera diva in the world. Her unique voice – The purest lyric-dramatic soprano is idolized by millions of fans.
Recognized by the public and praised by critics, she is known and revered far beyond the circle of classical music lovers. Therefore, it is not surprising that Anna Netrebko became the first classical artist to be included in the 100 most influential people in the world according to TIME magazine.
The meteoric rise of Netrebko's international career began in 2002 with a triumphant debut at the Salzburg Festival as Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni. This was followed by contracts in the world's leading opera houses and performances in the most important concert halls. Her performance of the part of Violetta in “La Traviata” Verdi in Salzburg in 2005 and her Manon in Massenet's opera of the same name in Berlin in 2007 gained cult status both for their vocal performance and for their absolute commitment to the director's concept. Vivid events in Anna's career, such as the video project “Woman Voice” 2004 and a concert with Plácido Domingo and Rolando Villazón at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Berlin, which were broadcast around the world, brought her popularity comparable to that of a real pop star.
Born in Krasnodar in 1971 and educated at Russia's most renowned musical institutions, Anna Netrebko has constantly expanded her repertoire throughout her career. The debuts of the singer in the role of Elsa in “Lohengrin” Wagner in Dresden in 2016 and in Tosca Puccini in New York in 2018 show how skillfully she plans her career, cementing her reputation as a true diva of our day. Anna Netrebko comes to Tel Aviv with her husband – famous tenor, Yusif Eyvazov. This is how Placido Domingo described him: “Yusif Eyvazov is a lyric-dramatic tenor with all the necessary power. His top notes are phenomenal and he sings with great feeling.
Yusif Eyvazov was born in Algeria but grew up in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and originally wanted to become a meteorologist. As a student, he once sang in front of friends at a party and they were so impressed that they practically forced him to enter the Music Academy in Baku. Yusif then continued his studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and finally moved to Italy in 1997 to learn from the legendary tenor Franco Corelli and soprano Gena Dimitrova. Later, he improved in the master classes of Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Magda Olivero and other masters of the opera stage.
The lyric-dramatic tenor began his career in small opera houses, touring around the world under a contract. The turning point came in 2008 when the singer won the Grand Prix of the International Competition in Milan. Two years later, the artist made his first high-profile debut on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow in the role of Cavaradossi in Tosca. Puccini.
The next step to the top of the opera Olympus was his debut as Otello at the International Festival of Opera, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of G. Among his stellar debuts – part of Kanyu in the production of the opera Pagliacci Leoncavallo conducted by Plácido Domingo, the part of Calaf in Puccini's Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, as well as a premiere performance at the Berlin Opera in Il trovatore Verdi – an opera he recently sang with Anna Netrebko at the Arena di Verona.
Eyvazov also sang the tenor part in Requiem; Verdi and has recently expanded his repertoire to include French roles such as Don José in Carmen; Bizet. The major opera houses in Vienna, Milan, Rome, Salzburg, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Berlin and the leading theaters in Russia, South Korea and Japan rave about his interpretations. He regularly tours the world and sings to huge audiences at the London Proms. and at such famous venues as Waldbühne in Berlin and Red Square in Moscow, together with world stars.
