Government legal adviser to weigh Ben Gvir's request for Fatah flags

Government legal adviser Gali Baharav-Miara told National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir that he would consider his request to change police policy on Fatah flags.

Ben-Gvir is demanding a ban on such flags, in particular the anti-government demonstration this Saturday.

According to the legal adviser, the request will be considered after the position of the political echelon is heard and the position of security officials regarding relations between Israel and Fatah. Ms Baharav-Miara explained that “already today it is allowed to prevent the flags of organizations identifying themselves with terror.”
