 First two cases of deadly Marburg virus detected in Ghana

The first two cases of the deadly Marburg virus have been reported in the southern Ashanti region of Ghana. According to the Ministry of Health, both infected with the virus, belonging to the same group as Ebola, died in the hospital. About 100 people were sent to quarantine. Marburg virus is transmitted through body fluids. At first, the infected person experiences headache and muscle pain, chills, and fatigue. Later, liver pain, jaundice, weight loss and bleeding from the mouth and nose, as well as high fever, appear. If no action is taken, the patient may die within three weeks.
