On the evening of May 1, Georgia was rocked by an earthquake of magnitude 5.3. This is reported by the National Center for Seismic Monitoring. The epicenter was located 11 km from the village of Sameba, the focus was at a depth of 9 km. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
