George Floyd's brother intends to sue rapper Kanye West for speaking out about his deceased relative who died at the hands of a former Minneapolis cop.
On a podcast, the artist discussed Floyd's death and there were words that hooked his brother.
“I was watching a documentary about George Floyd that Candice Owens released. Two of his roommates said they needed a tall guy like me, and on the day he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes. (Cop Derek Chauvin's) knee wasn't even on his (Floyd's) neck,” — West said on the Drink Champs podcast.
He also noted that Floyd's death was due to a fentanyl overdose.
The late George's brother is considering suing West of -for his words suggesting that his brother died from fentanyl use.
“We are considering litigation on behalf of Philonis, brother of George Floyd, regarding Kanye's false claims about Floyd's death,” — Attorney Lee Merritt, representing the Floyd family, told ABC News.
