At least 19 people have died in a karaoke bar in Indonesian West Papua.

According to CNN, citing police in the capital in Sorong province, a conflict broke out between competing youth gangs in a karaoke bar.

The incident took place on the night of Tuesday, January 25th. One person was shot dead during the clash. The room was set on fire. 18 people were killed.

“Clashes between young people are common, but this is the first time such a number of deaths,” said West Papua police spokesman Adam Ervini.
