Funeral of an IRGC colonel in Tehran:

On Tuesday, May 24, thousands of people took to the streets of Tehran to pay their respects to the murdered IRGC Colonel Hassan Sayad Khodayari. The Iranians chanted “Death to Israel.” No one took responsibility for the attack on the colonel, although in Iran, as in previous cases of killings of high-ranking officials and the military, the Jewish State is blamed. Mourners shouted anti-American and anti-Israeli slogans as the funeral procession marched through the capital's main cemetery. Khodai was named a martyr along with Qassem Soleimani, who was liquidated in 2020 in Iraq. "Iran — victim of terrorism", — read the inscription on the poster with the image of the Mossad and the Central Intelligence Agency. The funeral was attended by the commander of the IRGC Hossein Salami, as well as the commander of Al-Quds Ismail Gaani.
