Formula 1: Grand Prix in China canceled
|News » Sports
Formula 1 Organizers canceled the Grand Prix in China due to “constant difficulties” with the coronavirus.
F1 says it will not be able to operate normally in China and cannot justify the risks to personnel involved in travel, according to the BBC.
The Shanghai race was due to return in April for the first time since 2019.
“Formula 1 is evaluating alternative slot replacement options on the 2023 calendar and will provide an update on the matter in due course,” F1 said in a statement.
