Shanghai weekend was the fourth round of the post-pandemic era. The competition had to be canceled due to a new outbreak of coronavirus in China. “Following the dialogue with the promoter and local authorities, Formula 1 confirms that the 2023 Chinese Grand Prix will not take place due to the existing difficulties associated with the situation around COVID-19. Formula 1 is studying alternative options as a replacement, information about which will be announced later, “the message says.
