On Thursday, Algerian firefighters continued to fight wildfires, sparked by drought and heat.
According to AFP, according to multiple sources, including local journalists and the fire brigade, at least 38 people have died, mostly in the El Tarf region near Algeria's eastern border with Tunisia, where temperatures reached 48 degrees Celsius.
A day ago, 26 deaths were reported.
