For the first time in Israel used a new drug for Alzheimer's disease
For the first time in Israel, a new drug Aducanumab was used to treat Alzheimer's disease, which is aimed at delaying brain damage caused by the disease.
How According to The Jerusalem Post, the drug was used at Sourasky Medical Center this week. This is the first time the drug has been used outside the United States.
57-year-old Jeremiah Kozari received the drug.
“When I was asked to start a new treatment, I did not hesitate for a second. I am still a young man with goals and dreams. I hope the new treatment will help me to realize them, ”the man said.
The medicine“ Aducanumab ” was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration last year.
