For the first time in 8 years, Google has decided to make another adjustment to the appearance of its Chrome browser icon. Browser icons will now have some differences for each operating system.
The first redesign of the Chrome icon was done in 2011 by — then it became flatter and retained only a vague resemblance to the original volumetric version of the 2008 sample.
Three years later, it was re-modernized, after which the colors lost their gradients, and the composition finally acquired a flat look.
In the new version of the icon, there are no more shadows on the multi-colored areas of the outer ring — they have been replaced by subtle gradients that provide better color matching at the borders, especially between green and red.
