 First suspected case of monkeypox identified in South Korea

Two possible cases of monkeypox have been identified in South Korea, Yonhap News Agency reports.

Authorities are conducting all necessary checks to confirm or deny suspected diagnosis.

One of the cases is a foreigner who showed symptoms suggestive of monkeypox. He entered the country on Monday and is currently being treated at a hospital in Busan.

The second case is a Korean citizen who returned from Germany. He was hospitalized at Incheon Medical Center.
