Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Thursday that the first case of monkeypox was detected in Turkey.
The Jerusalem Post reports.
Monkeypox has been discovered in a 37-year-old patient who is now in isolation.
The virus has been identified in more than 50 new countries outside of Africa.
