On Friday, June 10, the first case of monkeypox infection was confirmed in Poland. The patient is in isolation in a hospital.
This was stated by the Minister of Health of Poland, Adam Nedzielski, RMF24 reports.

“We had about 10 suspected cases of monkeypox, samples are being examined. June 10 is the day when we have the first case,” the minister said.

However, the head of the Ministry of Health did not provide any details about the patient and the region in which he is located.

Monkeypox is a rare viral disease. It is commonly found in western and central Africa. Cases of infection with monkeypox virus have recently been reported in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Great Britain, Austria, Sweden and other countries. the spread of monkeypox in our country is very small, since Ukraine is not a transit country for traveling to African countries.
