Head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian and expressed his concern about the situation in Evin prison.

Borrell wrote about this on his Twitter.

“The Iranian authorities are responsible for the lives of all detainees, including human rights activists and EU citizens. Expressed my deepest concern to Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian. Recall that at least four people died as a result of a fire in the Evin prison in Iran.
