The Finnish Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with the American fighter manufacturer Lockheed Martin to supply F-35 fighters. This is stated in the message of the department.
“Head of the Ministry of Defense Antti Kaikkonen signed an agreement on industrial cooperation in Helsinki. Agreement signed with fighter aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin and engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, which is part of the Raytheon Technologies group,” the agency said, writes Euronews.
The contracts provide for the delivery of 64 multirole fighters in the F-35A Block 4 configuration in the period 2025-2030, as well as replacement and training equipment. In addition, the agreements include the training of flight and aviation personnel.
