will be published in the USA
American writer Sandra Newman will remake the dystopian novel by British writer George Orwell, 1984 taking into account the trends of modern feminism. The novel will be called Julia and will be out next summer.
The Orwell Foundation has already approved the idea for Julia. The project was also supported by the writer's son Richard Blair. It took some time to find a suitable author. Finally, the choice fell on Sandra Newman, best known for her debut feminist novel The Only Good Thing Anyone Has Ever Done.
Julia's novel; will not be released until the summer of 2022.
