 In India, a family committed mass suicide because of debt

In India, in the state of Maharashtra, nine people were found dead – all members of the same family named Vanmore.

The bodies were found in two houses owned by the Vanmore brothers. The age of the deceased ranged from 15 to 72 years old.

According to The Mirror, family members could have agreed and committed collective suicide because of debts.

According to police, nine people died after poison and that the family was in financial trouble.

Moreover, their suicide notes contain references to “repeated and public” 15 people were arrested for allegedly lending money to the Vanmore brothers.

The investigation is ongoing, the bodies will be sent for autopsy.
