Among the victims was a 40-year-old worker who worked in the building, who, as already mentioned, was seriously injured, suffering burns and a head injury. Another 40-year-old worker who also worked in the building suffered moderate injuries, and another 44-year-old worker suffered moderate injuries after falling from a height of about six meters from an adjacent building. The victims were taken to the city hospitals "Hadassah Ein Kerem" and Shaare Zedek.
Ahuva Sofer, who lives near the building where the explosion occurred and one of the injured fell in her garden, said, “I heard a loud explosion and at first didn't understand what was happening. The entire fence from above suddenly fell. I saw a lot of dust and thought that there was an earthquake. I went out into the yard, and my eyes went dark. I saw that a wounded man was lying on the grass, bleeding. My heart ached for him, I took a wet towel and put it on his forehead. I told him that I would call an ambulance. He slowly got up, I felt sorry for him, and I sat him on a chair. I let him wash and said I would help him. He was shocked and disabled. He was evacuated to the hospital, he is injured, but alive. After the explosion, he fell from above into my yard. It was terrible. They said that yesterday the workers smelled gas, and that's what happened today.
