Pakistani mosque explosion: 28 dead, 150 injured – video

At least 28 people were killed in a mosque explosion and 150 others were injured in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Monday, Reuters reported.

According to Peshawar Police Chief Ijaz Khan, the mosque was located within a complex that includes the provincial police headquarters and counter-terrorism department.

The possibility of a suicide attack cannot be ruled out, he said, adding: that traces of explosives were found inside the mosque. “Part of the building collapsed, and most likely there are still several people under it”,– Khan added.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion, which caused a wall to collapse in a crowded mosque with at least 260 people inside.
