EU rejects Israeli designation of six Palestinian NGOs as terrorist < /p>

Nine EU countries have rejected Israel's designation of six Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as terrorists.

Reported by The Jerusalem Post with referring to the statement of the European states.

Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden opposed the decision of Israel, which was announced in October. At the time, the Shin Bet and the Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that six Palestinian NGOs had fairly extensive ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine; (PFLP).

“No substantive information has been received from Israel to justify a review of our policy on the six Palestinian NGOs based on Israel's decision to designate these NGOs as terrorist organizations. If evidence to the contrary is presented, we we will act accordingly. In the absence of such evidence, we will continue our cooperation [with NGOs],” the 9 EU countries said in a statement.
