EU: booster doses could cut hospitalizations by at least 0.5 million people
Coronavirus vaccine booster doses could help reduce the number of hospitalizations in Europe by at least half a million.
According to the European Prevention Center and Disease Control (ECDC).
“Current booster delivery may reduce future Omicron hospitalizations by 500,000-800,000 people in Europe,” – ECDC said in a statement.
Currently, about 70% of the EU population is fully vaccinated, half of them received a booster dose.
