 Estonia chooses GE Hitachi small modular reactor technology

Estonia has selected GE Hitachi's small modular reactor technology for the country's first SMR

Fermi Energia Chairman Sandor Liive announced at an event in Tallinn that the company has selected the technology BWRX-300 from GEH from other technologies. The Estonian company also had offers from Rolls-Royce and NuScale.

BWRX-300 – this is a small modular water reactor with a capacity of 300 MW of the American company GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) with natural circulation of the coolant and passive cooling systems.
