 Erdogan claims six deaths in “treacherous attack” in Istanbul

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the explosion on Istanbul's main pedestrian street was caused by a “bomb explosion”. Six people were killed.

Speaking before leaving for the G-20 summit in Indonesia, Erdogan said the explosion was a “treacherous attack” and those responsible for it would be punished.

According to the President of Turkey, four people died on the spot and two in the hospital. According to information received from the Governor of Istanbul, 53 people were injured of varying severity.
