Captain Harry Kane said that England will use their defeat against France to become “mentally and physically stronger for the next test”.
This is reported by the BBC.
England lost 2-1 in the quarter-finals and left the World Cup, which is being held in Qatar. France made it to the semi-finals.
“We did our best, and it all comes down to a small detail for which I take responsibility. You can't hide from it, it hurts and it will take some time to get over it, but that's part of the sport. Now it's about using that experience to become mentally and physically stronger for the next challenge. Thank you for all the support throughout the tournament – it means a lot,” wrote Harry Kane.
