Elon Musk has regained his place as the world's richest man after briefly losing the title to Frenchman Bernard Arnault, according to Bloomberg's reckoning Tesla CEO lost the lead to Bernard Arnault, CEO of French luxury goods brand LVMH (LVMHF), in December last year, leaving Musk second on the list for more than two months. However, as of Monday, Bloomberg reports that Tesla's stock price hike has returned Musk back to the top billionaires.
According to Bloomberg, Musk's net worth as of Monday after the markets closed was about $187.1 billion, slightly more than Arno at $185.3 billion.
Musk can be considered a the richest man in the world, but he also holds the record for the largest fortune ever lost by anyone in history. Late last year, Musk became the first person to ever lose a fortune of $200 billion after his net worth dropped from approximately $340 billion in November 2021 to $137 billion in December 2022.
