Elon Musk prepares for a new space record

SpaceX is gearing up for two Falcon 9 launches on February 2nd. It is likely that if the schedule of operations continues, Elon Musk will set his own record.

During 2022, SpaceX has already launched four Falcon 9 rockets. The company also scheduled two more launches on February 2. This time, it expects to launch rockets with a time difference of 93 minutes, writes Ars Technica.

The first launch will take place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The operation will be part of a covert mission for the National Reconnaissance Agency, dubbed NROL-87.

The second launch will take place from the Kennedy Space Center. It will be part of the Starlink project.

If SpaceX manages to launch two rockets, this will be its own record (the last interval between launches was 15 hours).

Elon Musk's company SpaceX also expects achieve a record number of launches in 2022.
