Elbit Systems introduced a new mortar

The Israeli company Elbit Systems presented the 120-mm Crossbow turret mortar at the Defense iQ International Armored Vehicles conference, which was held in London.

Elbit says the weapon can be installed in a weapon station with minimal overhang, can be easily operated by one crew member, and has a fully automatic safety.
The mortar can fire all of the company's mortar rounds, including projectiles with extended range and precise guidance. It has a range of 10 km and a rate of fire of more than 12 rounds per minute, reaching 16 rounds in the first minute.
It is planned that the mortar will go into service with the IDF, which financed development, in 2024.
