184 specialists were arrested in Turkey after the devastating earthquakes on suspicion of involvement in the destruction of buildings.
According to Reuters, Bekir Bozdag, the Minister of Justice of the country, confirmed this information.
According to him, more than 600 people were under investigation in connection with the collapse of buildings. Among the detainees were builders and people who were legally responsible for the houses, as well as property owners and contractors.
“Overnight, the death toll from earthquakes, the most powerful of which occurred on February 6, in Turkey rose to 44 128 people. This brings the total number of deaths in Turkey and neighboring Syria to over 50,000. More than 160,000 houses, which had 520,000 apartments, collapsed or were seriously damaged, & ndash; said in the message.
