Dutch F-35 fighters intercepted and escorted three Russian combat aircraft approaching Polish airspace.
According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, this happened on Monday, February 13 .
In particular, the Russian Il-20M “Kut-A” was escorted and two Su-27 Flanker fighters. After that, they were "handed over for escort to NATO partners".
According to the NATO Air Command, Eurofighters pursued Russian aircraft, which “posed a danger, ignoring international flight safety rules”.
It is specified that this was the first takeoff of the Dutch fighters since the beginning of their deployment at the Malbork airbase in Poland.
