An Israeli woman in a senior position at the World Health Organization supports the message line of her bosses who said this week that “Omicron can bring Europe closer to end of the epidemic,” – which caused some controversy.

“This is not an empty statement,” says Dr. Nitzan in an interview
with Ynet. “Omicron is a great opportunity to vaccinate the rest of the world that has not yet been vaccinated”.

“We are collecting data”.

The new sub-option is being closely monitored by the World Health Organization Omicron, known as BA2.

“In Denmark, where I am, it now represents the majority of infections”, — said Dorit Nitzan, director of European emergencies at the WHO. “We still don't know what its health effects are.”
