 Dozens of birds rescued from poachers in Israel

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority, together with the police, carried out an operation to save 24 birds of an endangered species of finches, which include goldfinches and finches.

According to “Arutz Sheva”, the birds were illegally poached and kept in a cage in an Arab village near Jerusalem. A raid was carried out on Wednesday and the birds were released.

The suspect was detained for questioning.
