“Doctors Without Borders” came under fire in Nikolaev

Four representatives of the international organization “Doctors Without Borders” (MSF) came under fire near the oncological hospital in Mykolaiv, according to a press release by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

It is noted that on Monday, April 4, an MSF team of four a person arrived in Nikolaev and around 3.30 pm, when the representatives of the organization were on the territory of the city oncological hospital, came under fire.

“For about ten minutes, there were several explosions in the immediate vicinity of our employees,” Michel-Olivier Lacharité, head of the MSF mission in Ukraine, said.

He clarified that when leaving the hospital, the MSF team saw injured people and at least one dead. The exact number of deaths and injuries is unknown.

Lacharite noted that the mission managed to get to the shelter, but “the glass from the windows of their car, which was parked at the entrance to the hospital, flew out from the explosions.”

As a reminder, on April 4, at least 10 people were killed and 46 more wounded in Nikolaev as a result of the shelling of the city with cluster shells. , Orphanage, 11 kindergartens, 12 schools, one vocational school, two branches of out-of-school education institutions.
