Didn't live to see Groundhog Day: furry “weatherman” died in the USA

In Miltown, New Jersey, a groundhog called Mal, who gave predictions about spring, died.
According to Montana Public Radio, the furry “weatherman” literally a day did not live up to Groundhog Day, which is celebrated on February 2.
His most famous "colleague" in the United States is a groundhog named Phil.
The cause of death of the animal is not disclosed.
