Deri wants to deprive two terrorists of Israeli citizenship

Israeli Interior Minister Aryeh Deri wants to revoke the Israeli citizenship of two terrorists, Karim and Maher Younis, who killed IDF soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980.

On Tuesday, Deri appealed to a legal Government adviser Gali Baharav-Miara with a request to allow him to exercise his powers and deprive the terrorists of citizenship, Haruts Sheva reports.

The minister noted that he was informed that the terrorists would be released from prison in the coming days .

“It is inconceivable that these people would continue to have Israeli citizenship, and the deprivation of citizenship will be important when it comes to those who have become a symbol of those who carry out these criminal acts of terrorism. These things take on new meaning as we are talking about those who use their Israeli citizenship to the detriment of the State of Israel and its citizens,” Aryeh Deri wrote in a letter to the government's legal adviser.
