According to The Jerusalem Post, in fact, the carrier of the Delta strain has died.
The hospital confirmed that the patient suffered from chronic diseases. According to the publication, doctors considered it suspicious of how an elderly man carries the Omicron strain.
As a result, the Ministry of Health revised the report on December 22, emphasizing that the patient was a Delta carrier.
Information about the first death from the Omicron strain appeared on Tuesday. A 75-year-old man was reported to have died.
On Wednesday, former coronavirus advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Dr. Zvi Maron, denied the information.
