Last weekend in India turned into a tragedy for a family who went to the Ramada waterfall in the state of Chhattisgarh.
According to The Mirror, two girls decided to take a selfie at waterfall, but one of them stumbled and fell into the water. Several relatives rushed to the rescue, but after a few moments they had to be rescued.
It is reported that six members of one family drowned in a deep pond. Only a 22-year-old girl managed to get ashore alive.
Divers from the State Disaster Relief Agency retrieved three bodies on Sunday and recovered three more the next day.
Authorities have said local waters are dangerous for swimming, as evidenced by multiple warning signs.
