Deadly fire in Bangladesh: Warehouse operator accused

< p>

Bangladeshi authorities have accused a container warehouse operator of aggravating a deadly fire that claimed the lives of dozens of people.

BBC reported.

According to the authorities, the hydrogen peroxide containers were mislabelled and firefighters filled the flames with water instead of foam.

The local fire department said water was poured over the containers, causing a massive explosion.

“There are some rules for storing hydrogen peroxide. If we knew this, we would never pour out the water. We would never have driven our car into the depot,” firefighters said.

As a result of a fire and explosion in a warehouse, 41 people died (initially 49 victims were reported), hundreds of people were injured or missing.< br />
