Dangerous: an asteroid the size of half a fighter is approaching Earth

On Friday, January 27th, a small asteroid half the size of a fighter jet will fly past Earth, dangerously close to our planet.
According to NASA , it will fly by only a couple of thousand kilometers.
According to the Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects (CNEOS), the asteroid has been designated 2023 BU. It is one of the newest asteroids discovered in the new year.
The diameter of the object is approximately 3.9 – 8.4 meters, which is about half the size of an F-35 fighter. Scientists have not yet established how fast it flies. The probability that it will collide with our planet is small.
