CSTO sends peacekeepers to Kazakhstan

The Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization responded to the appeal of the President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.

According to the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the CSTO decided send collective peacekeeping forces to the country.

& quot; In connection with the appeal of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and in view of the threat to national security and the sovereignty of Kazakhstan caused, inter alia, by outside interference, the CSTO Collective Security Council, in accordance with with Article 4 of the Collective Security Treaty, he decided to send the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO to the Republic for a limited period in order to stabilize and normalize the situation in this country, '' he replied on Facebook.
