The Bakhchisaray District Court of Crimea fined a 20-year-old local resident 50,000 Russian rubles because of a video in which she sings the Ukrainian anthem. This was reported by the press service of the court.
Evelina Memetova was found guilty of “discrediting the Russian army”. According to investigators, on March 1, she published a video in which she sings the anthem of Ukraine and thereby “carried out public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the RF Armed Forces in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security within the framework of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine”.
Pro-Kremlin Telegram channel “Crimean SMERSH” started harassing the girl for posting the video. Later, the channel published a video with “apologies” girls where she says she uploaded the video “foolishly” and “fully supports the ongoing special operation.”
During the court session, the girl “confessed her guilt and repented of her deed,” the court press release says.
