Cracks in Atatürk Dam after earthquakes

The Atatürk Dam in southeastern Turkey may be in critical condition after two devastating earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 7.8 on the Richter scale occurred relatively close to it.
Reports come from Turkey that “many cracks appeared in the dam after strong earthquakes.” The surrounding areas have already been evacuated.
Experts have warned that the dam could burst at any moment, and the resulting damage could affect an area of 30 square kilometers near the dam.
