COVID in Israel: 17,521 new cases
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, a total of 1,494,268 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Israel.
This is evidenced by the data provided by the press service of the Ministry of Health on the morning of January 9.
It is clarified that 17,521 new cases of infection were identified. Of the 159,452 tests, 11.71% gave a positive answer. Currently, 115,010 patients are active carriers.
Today, 205 patients are in serious condition, 48 of them are connected to mechanical ventilation devices. During the entire period of the coronavirus epidemic, 8,259 people died.
The number of Israelis vaccinated with the first dose reached 6,621,321. The second received 5,963,196, and the third – 4 322 783.
