Coronation of Charles III: Buckingham Palace unveiled event logo

No scandalous stories concerning the Clorole family in the UK can cancel one thing – the ascension to the throne of King Charles III and his wife Camilla.

The solemn ceremony at which they will, according to all traditions, be proclaimed by the king and queen consort, will be held on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. In the meantime, intensive preparations are underway for the big event, which is a little less than three months away. And on the eve of Buckingham Palace presented one of its results – an official coronation emblem filled with powerful personal symbolism.

Round emblem embellished with a floral design – the handiwork of legendary Apple product designer John Ive and his LoveFrom creative team. And every element in this image is no coincidence.

As Buckingham Palace explained, the flowers adorning the emblem symbolize the king's love for the natural world, combining flora four peoples of Great Britain: rose – England, thistle – Scotland, narcissus – Wales and shamrock – Northern Ireland. The emblem was designed using the red, white and blue colors of the UK flag.
