Iran tried to lure Israeli scientists and businessmen abroad with the aim of kidnapping them. This was reported to the Shin Bet. It is specified that representatives of Tehran used fake profiles in social networks. While communicating with the Israelis, they posed as scientists, journalists, businessmen and philanthropists. The Iranians tried to collect data on potential victims in order to subsequently kidnap them and cause harm. Among the ways to lure citizens abroad was the offer to attend a conference in Europe.
