 Coney Island waterfront shooting: five injured

On the morning of Sunday, July 10, on the waterfront of Coney Island, Brooklyn, an unknown person opened fire on a crowd of people, shooting five people. One of the victims is in critical condition after being shot in the back, police said.

Two women were shot in the left leg and taken to the Lutheran Hospital. A 36-year-old man was shot in the chin and taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

A 31-year-old man was shot in the back and a 19-year-old in the leg. They were both taken by private cars to NYU Langone hospital, where the man is in critical condition.

More than two dozen bullets were found at the scene.
